What a trip!
I’m just back from a 5 day holiday in Aosta, a place I called home for the previous two winter seasons. About 20 of us from the previous few years gathered together in the southern alps for a reunion. Meeting people who I thought I would never see again when I said my goodbyes two years ago.
Being over there on holidays was a completely different experience from working the previous two years, being able to enjoy an aperol on the slope without your radio going mad and having to rush off to fix a ski or help a kid was quite enjoyable.
I found this job over two years ago while on my J1 in the US, I remember vividly as I did my interview at 4a.m NYC time in the basement of our accommodation in Brooklyn. What a life changing interview that would be! Two years in the Italian alps learning to ski and snowboard, something I had never done before.
Grateful for the memories, friends and experiences I made over the two seasons!
