I have optimized this content for the following: digital marketing Cork, social media marketing Cork
Studying digital marketing Cork has given me more than classroom theory. As a student on the Certificate in Digital Marketing at MTU Cork, I have had the opportunity to work on live briefs with real businesses, and the Bishop’s Palace Cafe project is probably the best example of what that looks like in practice.
From Analysis to Paid Social
The project started with a full social media audit. Before any content was created or any budget was spent, we analyzed the cafe’s existing presence, identified what was working and built a strategy around what the data was telling us. This is the step that gets skipped most often in social media marketing Cork. Businesses jump straight to posting without understanding their audience first.
From there we ran an organic campaign to build engagement and test content before moving into a paid ad campaign. The two phases worked together rather than in isolation, which made a measurable difference to the results.
The Numbers
The campaign reached 20,041 people. It generated a 0.97% engagement rate, 3,065 non-follower views, 1,177 profile visits, 72 new followers and 17 saves and shares.
The non-follower reach is the figure I keep coming back to. Getting in front of over 3,000 people who had no prior connection to the account is what a structured digital marketing Cork approach actually looks like when the organic and paid phases are built properly around each other.
What This Course Has Taught Me
The Certificate in Digital Marketing at MTU is built around real application. The Bishop’s Palace Cafe project gave me experience in social media strategy, content creation, organic campaign management and paid advertising. Those are not skills I picked up from a slide deck. They came from doing the work, looking at the data and adjusting.
Social media marketing Cork is not just about aesthetics or consistency. It is about understanding who you are talking to, what the numbers are telling you and how to make better decisions because of it. That is what this course has pushed me to develop, and it is the standard I intend to hold myself to going forward.
